X-Men by Gavin Smith

I was going to fully color this whole thing... but while flatting it decided I like it like this. This was a nice break from workin' on dem funny pages.

Arnold Schwarzenegger by J Wright

Ahh, Arnold and Mr.Freeze from BTAS mash-up. The definitive portrayal of the character and the worst. How Arnold didn't win an Academy award for this we will never know...

Breaking Bad by J Wright

I did a moleskine sketch this week and fooled around with it in photoshop. Had fun playing with the colors and textures. I've never seen Breaking Bad, (it's in my Netflix queue, put down your pitchforks) but it looks filthy, and this guy, Aaron Paul as I gathered from researching reference, looks like he curses a lot.

Literature by J Wright

I love the Harry Potter books and films. I've never drawn anything from them, so I decided I'd take a crack at Harry. I kept it with just pencils this time around because I liked how the pencils were coming along and I just took a little extra time to tighten them up rather than ink a rough sketch. Plus my best brush is not so much my best brush any more, and I want this to be inked properly.

Aliens By J Wright

When I think "Aliens" I think conspiracies, when I think conspiracies I think X-Files! I only ever watched an episode of the series here and there, but recently decided I wanted to watch the series in it's entirety and am nearly finished with season one, and it is excellent. Why isn't there an X-Files ongoing comic... and why am I not drawing it?

Pixar by J Wright

Wall-E & Eve. Wall-E is one of my favorite Pixar flicks. The story telling is amazing, considering no actual words are spoken by the protagonist.

Mad Men by J Wright

A Jon Hamm(ish) Mad Man... lighting a cig. They work at an ad agency right? I bet they sell the hell outta some smokes. I've never seen this show. Enjoy! I'm off to Colorado for a week! Later suckers!

P.S. I'm going to be tagging my posts with "J Wright" from here on out, because there is another Jason Wright that went to Kubert who is a working colorist, and I get confused for him a lot. Just last week I was asked to sign some books he had colored at this shop signing I was at. So Yeah.

Legion by Alec Morgan

Legion is a Geth Commando in the Mass Effect series. I've got a lot of Garry jealousy for landing that job, it's a great franchise.

Sean Connery by Adam Carabet

Frank Frazetta by Adam Carabet

I've always been a big fan of Frazetta's black and white stuff and wanted to try and do something along those lines. I did this on watercolor paper so I can add some washes over it another time.

Frank Frazetta by Alec Morgan

Frazetta's work on Conan sparked my initial interest in both the artist and the character, and got me into fantasy illustration in general. I didn't really know much about him before I went to school, so thanks to Kevin Castaniero for the hard Introduction...

Flying by Adam Carabet

It's not flying, it's falling with style! Unless you have a jet pack . . . . then it's flying. Anyway, Buzz Lightyear!

Metropolis by Adam Carabet

Superman saving Jimmy Olsen from the Daily Planet globe that fell off i guess. Anyway, adding color to this and will post that by tomorrow. For now, here is the black and white.

P.s. Now that I see it on the computer, Supes arm looks a little long, but oh well.
