100 Bullets by Gavin Smith

100 bullets is one of those books I never got around to reading. After reading the first trade I definitely regret not having looked into it sooner. Will definitely pick up the rest of them. Anyways... like a lot of us have already said, there's no way I can compete with what Risso and Johnson did with that book, but I decided to give Lee's story a shot (issues 4-5 I think?).
Roughish pencils, quickly inked on 9x12 bristol. Some quick touch ups in Photoshop.
P.S. Doing research for this blog is awesome.

100 Bullets, by Craig Cermak

I absolutely love 100 Bullets and the whole creative team is astounding. I could never top anything Risso or Johnson have done so I just kept it simple with Agent Graves chilling with some coffee. While I prefer the stuff after the first and second trades, I do like how he'd show up somewhere, get some coffee, and be like hey here's this suitcase with a gun and 100 untraceable bullets...

A lot of pressure with this one, since Dave Johnson and Eduardo Risso are 2 of my favorite artists. So like every time there's pressure, I redraw my sketch a dozen times and absolutely hate what I eventually have to settle on.

100 Bullets by Troy Hoover
I've never read any of "100 Bullets" although it is on my list of things I need to read. Since I don't know anything about it I just looked up some character names and Remi Rome sounded cool. I didn't read too much about the character so I could avoid spoilers so the layout for my sketch is a little generic for that reason.
