Tonto

I am not very familiar with this character, but thought I'd give him a shot.

Nobody

Xebeche from Dead Man

Native American Spider-man

Chief Man-of-Bats

Quick one for this week. The Native American Batman from Morrison's Batman run (hey, can you tell I like Grant's comics?).

Native American Girl

Cowboys and Indians

So I drew this originally on brown paper with a HB pencil and a whit chalk pencil. I thought it looked better in the blueish "night" scheme. Anyway, kind of a quickie but fun none-the-less. So no one managed to find a way to fit in Game of Thrones this week?

Wow-ahkan

Sorry for bringing the blog down with this one.  I ran out of time because I was farting around... I mean I was really busy with other stuff.  Yeah.

Apocalypto

Maybe not the most historically accurate movie ever made, but certainly one of the most exciting!

Apache Justice

This is the Apache Warrior Geronimo... a little Moebius influence in this one.

Native American

I was dreading doing this week's topic, until I started working on it. I admit this isn't anything special or any person in particular, just a guy standing there, but damn was it fun to draw and ink. I was at a loss for what to do, so I just did some quick reference, found some interesting images, and this ended up coming out on my end. I didn't bother erasing the pencils or adjusting the levels too much because it gave it a raw feeling, and felt that was appropriate for the subject matter. Before this drawing I didn't really have any interest on doing something native american, but now I can't wait to do another!

Red Crow

Chief Red Crow from Scalped. Had to do kind of a quickie this week, due to my work schedule.

Turn of the century renegade

One of the reasons I am so interested in the American west during the mid 1800's through the turn of the century is the mixing of all the different cultures. I like the use in movies and books of Native Americans wearing American army clothing or weapons. Did they trade for them? Or are they trophies of battle? So I just came up with this dude whose been through some stuff and got some trophies of his own. Went a little more cartoony/exaggeration for fun on this one and inked it all in brush to get a little more use out of it. I'm mostly a nib guy.

Micki

What a busy week I've been having. Looks like the rest of this summer is going to be be kinda the same way. Anyway, here is my submission!

LEIA

Sorry for the lateness. Scanner drama.
Hope you guys like!!!

These Two

My original intent with this was much better than the execution. But I'm hoping it's silly enough so that that isn't too big of a deal.

Emma Frost

You know, it's that chick from that one movie.

Emma Frost

I wanted to do some more on this piece, but I had quite a busy weekend and not much time between all I had going on to do this full up. Hopefully I'll revisit it and get it to where I had originally planned. Hope you guys like it thus far.

Wonder Woman

Miss Yomoko

Just finished all of TTGL... soooo good! Yoko in her alter ego school teacher mode ;) aww yeah!

Meryl Silverburgh

I decided to stay with in the Metal Gear Solid realm for this week and drew Meryl Silverburgh from Metal Gear Solid 1. Had a little bit more time with this one so I put some simple colors on there. Don't have my tablet with me so I had to use the mouse for the first time in forever. I felt like a caveman, haha.

Zatanna

Whhaaa--- ?? Another DC character? Yeah.

Vicki Vale

I couldn't find reference of Fasano's mom, so I decided to draw Vicki Vale instead.

Lois and Superman

A little sketchier than usual this week.

The Bat and the Cat

I watched the Adam West show a lot as a kid. I remember liking the Catwoman chick. Dynamite curves. BAM.

The Khaleesi

Game of Thrones is da bomb.

King of the Britons

Great pick, Emi!  I've always been fascinated by Arthurian lore, and I wanted to do something a little different with the source material.  Also, I tried a different inking style with this one.

The Ape-Man

I never really read any Tarzan books, but I'd like to.

The Invincible Iron Man

It's been a while.  Lots of things to deal with that none of you want to hear about.  Anyways, I'm kind of kicking myself for not be a little more thoughtful with this one, seeing as how half of you did Iron Man (and a better job than me, I might add).  Whatevs.  Tony Stark is a pimp.

Locutus of Borg

Borg have the best tech, because you can't draw it wrong. it's a mess of wires and circuits. This was probably the most relaxing thing i've ever drawn. Inking with a brush on a big headshot is my favorite thing.

Beauty & Beast Corps.

Beauty & Beast Corps. from MGS4 ...a sketchy but fun one, difficult characters to draw though

Stark and his Toys

Finally got a good scan of this. Looks much better in my opinion. Still looking to color this. Have a few other things on my plate before that. Hope y'all like it better now.

Ironman

Gizmoduck

Gizmoduck from one of the best cartoons ever, Ducktales. I don't even quite remember Gizmo's backstory, but I pretty much thought he was the coolest thing ever when I was a kid.

Robin, the Toy Wonder

Figured I'd keep going with the Grant Morrison characters... so here's Robin from the DC 1,000,000 series. Also thought it'd be cool to do a homage of the current Batman and Robin series by posing him the same as Damian from the first issue cover of the series. Doing the full image of that as a collaboration with a friend, so you'll probably see that elsewhere.

Liquid in MG Rex

My tech entry is from the game Metal Gear Solid. Metal Gear is the bi-pedal mech that Liquid Snake steals from the government. Yeah, I'm not too happy with this one. I can't wait until pool season/wedding season is done so I can start putting more time into these.

Robocop

Been wanting to draw him for a while now.

Tom Skylark and Rover

This week I felt like drawing a Sentinel, so I drew Tom Skylark and his pet Sentinel, Rover. They are from the terrible ending to Morrison's otherwise excellent run on New X-Men. If you haven't read it, check it out, it's the last great superhero book I've read, and I think it's better than Whedon and Cassaday's Astonishing. Anyway, hope you all dig!

Model One, Mark Two

I like the big, bulky, gold Iron Man outfit and imagine it's in storage somewhere. Maybe it is, I dunno, I've never read an Iron Man comic.

Tech: Cyborg

Cyborg was the first thing I thought of when I heard the topic was tech. The guy is tech. Looking forward to seeing everybody elses!

The Black Knight

One of my all time favorite comedies.

Kamakura Shogunate

The Kamakura period marked the transition to the Japanese medieval era - 700 year period in which the emperor, the court, and the traditional central government were left intact but largely relegated to ceremonial functions. Civil, military, and judicial matters were controlled by the samurai class, the most powerful of whom was the shōgun.
I f*ckin love samurais.

Conan!

Conan is medieval right? I mean barbarians were around in medieval times, Conan is a barbarian. Okay it's settled. This was a quickie this week, been wanting to fool around with a ball point pen in the inking stage and I went a little overboard here, but it was a good introduction. I think this was the first time I've ever drawn Conan... hope everyone digs!

Shining Knight

The female Shining Knight from the Seven Soldiers mini-series...

Moon Knight

experimenting with color...

The Knights who say Ni!

I think we can all agree that this is the best medieval movie around.

Medieval Spawn

I loved all that Spawn stuff when I was little. My favorite thing was popping the top off the Angela toy and drawing nipples on her.
I hit a wall coming up with something for this, so went with a close-up.

Mordred

The first thing that popped into my head for "Medieval Ages" was the movie "Excalibur". I can't get enough of the movie, the soundtrack, the visuals, it's all great. I always thought that Mordred's armor was pretty sweet, and the head piece was creepy as hell so I went with that. I tried out inking the whole thing with Sharpies, never really done that before besides quick sketchbook things. It was kind of fun.

Etrigan

I was having a real hard time thinking of something to draw, because I've never cared much for Knights and stuff until I remembered Etrigan!  Great story right?
