Literature by Troy Hoover

I chose to draw the character Louis Toadvine from the book "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy. He's an outlaw in the early to mid 1800's west. Pretty grimey. He has the letters H and T(stands for "Horse Thief") branded in his forehead as a punishment earned earlier in his life. He's described as having an F branded between his eyebrows also, but it's never explained what that stands for. The book is amazing by the way. It's brutal and unforgiving, but so well written.

  1. The "F" is for felon. Lovely drawing.
