Breaking Bad by Tyler Champion
Alright, so I guess we have to give credit on all our art forever now. This is based off an Absinthe poster in Mucha's style, I don't think he is the artist though, but Adam Hughs uses Mucha's style also and since he did it before me I guess I should also credit him. I used a bit of spatter in here so I guess I should also credit Sean Murphy, Jackson Pollock, and cave men. I think that covers it.

Breaking Bad by J Wright
I did a moleskine sketch this week and fooled around with it in photoshop. Had fun playing with the colors and textures. I've never seen Breaking Bad, (it's in my Netflix queue, put down your pitchforks) but it looks filthy, and this guy, Aaron Paul as I gathered from researching reference, looks like he curses a lot.

I've never seen the show so the only things I know about it are the guy from Malcom in the Middle(Mooneyham's favorite show) is in it and that Gavin Smith loves the shit out of it.
Breaking Bad by Clayton Cowles
Here's my sketch! I haven't seen the show since the end of the second season because I think it's a fucking downer. A very well-made and VERY well-acted downer. Sorry, guys!
Breaking Bad by Joe Ruff
I'm predicting that in the next season, Marie will get cancer and become Walt's drug dealing rival. It would only be a little more ridiculous than how the last season ended.

Breaking Bad by Ben Dale
It was hard to pick a favorite character to draw because there's so many awesome ones. I just really wanted to draw Mike and Gale. Almost put Saul in too but it took me a while to get the likenesses right.

Literature by J Wright
I love the Harry Potter books and films. I've never drawn anything from them, so I decided I'd take a crack at Harry. I kept it with just pencils this time around because I liked how the pencils were coming along and I just took a little extra time to tighten them up rather than ink a rough sketch. Plus my best brush is not so much my best brush any more, and I want this to be inked properly.

So, drawing Tommy Lee Jones, technically makes this more from the movie, but I just love the way he did that scene so much.

I loved these books as a kid. So, uhh... yeah after seeing everybody else's contribution this week. I'm embarrassed. Good job, everybody.
Literature by Chris Mooneyham
First Blood is a great chase story. It's quite different from the movie (which also kicks ass), especially in the character of Rambo. In the book, he's just over twenty, with a big ass beard and long hair. Stallone was definitely not the right choice. I heard that Jeff Bridges was in the running for Rambo, originally, and honestly, after reading the book, that would have been awesome, along with Kirk Douglas as Colonel Trautman.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Good book, I suggest you read it. They are making a movie out of it finally. They tried a few times before; once right after Enemy mind, but as bad as that movie was they were like, "fuck outer-space".

Yep. Scarlett O'Hara. I cheated here, as I've never read "Gone With The Wind," and I haven't seen the movie since 12th-grade Film Study. At the end of the film, my teacher Mr. Hardy asked me for my initial thought, and I replied "That is one infuriating woman." I hadn't thought about "Gone With The Wind" until this week's topic came along, but Scarlett O'Hara REALLY has an intriguing character arc. She could very well be the first well-known female anti-hero in modern literature. I dunno, I might have to watch it again. I'll probably still hate it, too.

I drew Hiro Protagonist from Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. It's probably my favorite cyberpunk book.

Literature by Troy Hoover
I chose to draw the character Louis Toadvine from the book "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy. He's an outlaw in the early to mid 1800's west. Pretty grimey. He has the letters H and T(stands for "Horse Thief") branded in his forehead as a punishment earned earlier in his life. He's described as having an F branded between his eyebrows also, but it's never explained what that stands for. The book is amazing by the way. It's brutal and unforgiving, but so well written.

Green by J Wright
HULK! I've never really had a good grasp on drawing Hulk. I always want to go completely nuts and wonky with his proportions and anatomy and it usually ends up a bit of a mess. This isn't too bad I suppose.

Aliens By J Wright
When I think "Aliens" I think conspiracies, when I think conspiracies I think X-Files! I only ever watched an episode of the series here and there, but recently decided I wanted to watch the series in it's entirety and am nearly finished with season one, and it is excellent. Why isn't there an X-Files ongoing comic... and why am I not drawing it?

Aliens by Andy Taylor
"I was pregnant with Tracey at the time. And oh my God, when that thing burst from John Hurt's chest everyone in the audience screamed. I thought I was going in to labor. It was terrible. No body knew that was going to happen. Bluck." My mother on seeing alien in the theater.

One of the first things I think of when I hear the word "Aliens" is one of my favorite albums of all time, "ATLiens" by Outkast. 1996, still their best album in my opinion. The CD booklet was actually a short comic book featuring Andre and Big Boi as aliens. I decided to draw them as they appeared around the time of the album release. Dre was wearin that head wrap thing all the time that made him look like The Great Tiger from Mike Tyson's Punchout, and Big Boi still had his corn rows. Listen to "Two Dope Boyz(in a Cadillac)" while listening to this, it'll make it that much better. Hoping to color it soon.

RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! The Borg is/are one of my all-time favorite things to draw, I haven't had a good crack at them since I graduated, and I wasn't around for Star Trek week. ITCH SCRATCHED! Wish I had time to color this.
